Wir, die Interessengemeinschaft "Untere Edertalbahn", setzen uns für den Erhalt und die Reaktivierung der Bahnstrecke Frankenberg-Korbach (KBS 622) ein.
Unser Ziel ist es, zunächst wieder einen sonntäglichen Ausflugsverkehr zwischen Frankenberg (Eder) und Herzhausen zum Nationalparkzentrum einzurichten, wie er bereits in den Sommermonaten der Jahre 2006 und 2007 durchgeführt wurde. Ein solcher Sonderverkehr würde das Reisen am Wochende in die Region erheblich attraktiver machen, da dadurch der Nationalpark Kellerwald-Edersee umweltschonend erreicht werden kann. Zusätzlich hätte dies eine gute Imagewerbung für den Kreis Waldeck-Frankenberg zufolge.
